Sunflower planting in Waterloo Park

Year 3 have spent a lovely morning at Waterloo Park, planting sunflowers!

The children started their project a few weeks ago, planting the seeds and watching germination take place. The sunflower project links wonderfully to the children's science learning as well as giving them the opportunity to work with the Friends of Waterloo Park and spend time out in our local community.

The sunflowers are planted next to the Waterloo Park Pavillion Cafe, so do stop by and take a look when you are out enjoying the park over half term!
